What's happening at Carlos Santana Arts Academy?

Welcome to Carlos Santana Arts Academy (CSAA), where the arts are the doorway to learning! The doors open at 7:35a.m. daily and breakfast is served in the classrooms at 8a.m.   Our school hours are:  7:55 a.m. --  2:24 p.m. Early Dismissal every Tuesday at 1:19p.m.  We want Carlos Santana Arts Academy students to be safe and dressed in a manner appropriate for a school setting.   All Fridays are uniform free days and students can choose to attend school in clothing that adheres to the dress code but is not the recommended Santana uniform.  We want all of our students to dress for success every day!
Your child deserves the opportunity to fully participate in the challenging educational program offered at CSAA. For this reason please make sure your child arrives at school, in uniform, with homework completed, and well rested EVERY DAY.  Your child deserves to have access to all that school has to offer.
Due to our commitment to teaching students about healthy lifestyles, and the growing number of food allergies at our school, we will no longer be celebrating students’ birthdays with food or treats of any kind.  PLEASE DO NOT SEND GOODIES OR BALLOONS TO SCHOOL ON BIRTHDAYS.  Candy, potato chips, ice cream, donuts, hot cheetos, sweet drinks, soda, etc. and other snacks, that are high in fat and caloric content, should not be sent to school.
We need you to be an active partner in the education of your child.  Please read with your child daily! Take at least 1 hour everyday to engage in conversation with your child. There are many opportunities for you to become a partner in creating a truly exceptional learning environment here at CSAA.  Carlos Santana Arts Academy needs your time, energy, and support to ensure student achievement at its highest!

Sincerely,
Leah Bass-Baylis
Principal
