Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! Carlos Santana Arts Academy is a wonderful place filled with exceptional opportunities for students to engage in challenging instructional activities coupled with visual arts, dance, music, and theatre. Technology is a tool that is used daily to improve student achievement and excite learners. The 2013-2014 school year was filled with accomplishments!!! Santana 5th grade students were selected to perform their beautiful and thought provoking musical compositions at two citywide conferences at the Los Angeles Cathedral and the California Endowment Center. More than 40 students were reclassified . Approximately 100 students successfully performed in our annual music and dance concerts. Hundreds of parents and students traveled to the Getty museum again this year. Our students had the opportunity to experience several international music and dance performances (Ballet Folklorico Do Brazil, Mariachi Sol De Mexico, and the Lincoln Center Young Peoples Jazz Ensemble). Once again, the Pennies For Patients, Christmas Toy Drive, Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive, and Valentine’s Day Festival were all wildly successful thanks to the participation of our students and their parents.

Throughout the school year, please work with your child daily and help him/her to learn and state his/her full name, complete address, and birthday by the first day of school. We need you to be an active partner in the education of your child. There are many opportunities for you to become a partner in creating a truly exceptional learning environment here at CSAA. Carlos Santana Arts Academy needs your time, energy, and support to ensure student achievement at its highest! I look forward to working with you.
